The Tunnel Water Company operates the <br />collection system and tunnel to supply water to 2 major shareholders, the Water Supply and Storage <br />Company and the Windsor Reservoir and Canal Company. Water is used for irrigation within the 100,000. <br />acre service area. A portion of the tunnel collapsed in May 29,2000, cutting off water deliveries. The <br />Company needs to rehabilitate the tunnei prior to the 2001 irrigation season. The average annual volume <br />diverted is 15,085 acre.feet. The Tunnel Water Company is a mutual ditch company and a nonprofit <br />corporation registered in the State 01 Colorado. Don Deere, P .E. 01 Rocky Mountain Consultants has <br />completed preliminary engineering plans and a cost estimate. John Van Sciver, P.E., CWCS staff, is <br />completing the feasibility study with input from the Company and their engineer.
