The RGRT has made the decision that water activities that <br />address this issue be favorably considered for funding from the Water Supply Reserve <br />Account, SB 2005 - 179 , providing the proposed water activities meet the SWSI findings for <br />the Ba sin and the CWCB & IBCC Criteria and Guidelines for funding. <br /> <br />The RGRT is requesting authorization and consideration for distribution of Funds pursuant <br />to SB 2005 - 179, for Sta t ewide Funds in the amount of $ 10 4 ,000.00 . <br /> <br />At the regular RGRT meeting on J uly 10, 2007 , the membership voted unanimously to <br />request funding from SB 2005 - 179 - Statewide Funds, for the Alamosa River Watershed <br />Restoration Project . <br /> <br />P A R S <br />ROJECT AND MOUNT EQUESTED OURCE <br />SB 179 <br /> <br />S <br /> <br />Alamosa River Watershed Restoration Project <br />TATE <br />$ 104,000 .00 <br /> <br /> <br />As addressed in the Application, the Project meets the necessary eligibility and evaluation <br />criteria to make it qualify for S B 179 funding. In addition, the Project is specifically <br />addressed in the “Water Supply and Needs Report for the Rio Grande Basin ” (SWSI) <br />dated June 2006. <br /> <br />The Project was referenced as being a potential solution to achieving environmental goals <br />through en vironmental water management, utilizing the concepts of “conserve, protect and <br />Page 1 of 3 <br />
