SOUTHWEST BASINS ROUNDTABLE
STEVEN C HARRIS, CHAIR
% Southwestern Water Conservation District
841 East Second Avenue
Durango, Colorado 81301
970 - 247 - 1302

EMAILED June 16, 2007

Mr. Rick Brown
Chief, Intrastate Water Management and Development Section
Col orado Water Conservation Board
1580 Logan Street, Suite 600
Denver, Colorado 80203

SUBJECT: Bauer Lakes Company SB179 Application

Dear Mr. Brown:

The Southwest Basins Roundtable (SWRT) is pleased to submit an application for Water
Supply Reserve Account (Account) funding for consideration at the September, 2007
CWCB Board Meeting. The application was approved by consensus at the SWRT
meeting on June 13, 2007. The application will be sent to you directly from the
applicant.

The application was for $87, 500 but did not designate whether it was from the State or
SWRT funding pools. The SWRT believed this application had both local and statewide
impacts so the SWRT included $20,000 from the SWRT funding pool and is requesting
$67,500 from the State funding pool. The application is to make workable a pipeline
from Bauer Lake that was installed for salinity control purposes originally using NRCS
funding. NRCS will not fund the required modifications. This project meets all of the
criteria for funding.

P lease contact me at 970 - 259 - 5322, steve@durangowater.com , if you have questions.
Please contact the applicant for questions on the application.

Sincerely,

Via - email from Steve
Steven C Harris, P.E.
Southwes t Basins Roundtable Chair
