Please provide an overview of water project or activity to be funded including – type of activity, statement

The study is needed in order to look at new storage possibilities in the barrow pit and expanding the

Jackson Gulch Dam. The Mancos Valley is in need of additional storage of approximately 2,000 acre

feet of wat er in order to provide for future water needs. The Jackson Gulch Reservoir Expansion

Project consists of 2 components.

1) Lake Mancos Dam. ($38,000)
= ($20,000 + $18,000
)

a. The funds will be used to provide a feasibility study for a new Lake Mancos Dam,

Reservoir and Canals at the borrow area created in the original construction.

b. This application asks for $20.000 from the Statewide Account .
( 53 %)

c. With the remaining $18,000 from in - kind contributions .
( 47 %)

2) Jackson Gulch Dam. ($80,0 00) (from the Basin Account)

a. The funds will be used to provide a feasibility study for raising the existing Dam for

additional storage.
