<br /> <br />Conclusions <br /> <br /> <br />. The previous slides tell quite a story of the South Platte. We divert about 210/0 <br />of the State's water and produce 700/0 of it's agriculture sales. We haven't even <br />mentioned that 2/3 of the people of Colorado live in and consume water in the <br />South Platte basin! <br />. The final slide is perhaps the most important and often over-looked. Everyone <br />tells us what a crisis we're in. Farms are being dried up, wells shut off, cities <br />buying up OUR water. Yet in 2030, according to SWSI, agriculture will still use <br />860/0 of our State's water. Where and how will agriculture use this 860/0 to <br />maximize production and wealth formation? <br />. I'm optimistic about tomorrow. What kinds of partnerships can be forged and <br />projects developed? When we started this Roundtable process 2 years ago I <br />couldn't of dreamed of this diverse group of interests jointly working together to <br />advance water interests. Environmentalists, farmers and cities are working to <br />create more wet, usable water with something in it for everyone. <br />. The South Platte, when real production numbers are factored in, is THE <br />MODEL for putting water to beneficial use. I'm enormously proud of our <br />SORRY LITTLE RIVER! <br />
