Please refer to Part 2 of the Criteria and Guidance document for <br />detailed requirements. On the following page there is an example format for the Scope of Work. You can use the <br />example format or your own format, provided that comparable information is included. <br /> <br />The scope of work should outline by task how the water activity will be accomplished. It is important that the <br />scope of work detail the specific steps, activities/procedures that will be followed to accomplish the water activity .;... <br />and the specific products/deliverables that will be accomplished. The scope of work should include but not be <br />limited to: task description, key personnel, budget, schedule and deliverables and the final report/project <br />documentation upon completion of the water activity. <br /> <br />I. SCOPE OF WORK: <br />The proposed scope of work for phase two of the Alamosa River restoration project continues on the 15,000 <br />linear feet of untreated channel from CR 8 to CR 10 the successful river restoration measures implemented in <br />2004-6. Measures include removal of excess sediment, reestablishment of natural meander patterns, installation <br />of rock vanes, and replanting and grazing management. <br /> <br />Project goals include: <br />I. Public Education/Information; II. Construction/ Sediment Reduction; III. Restoration of Riparian Health; IV. In-Field <br />Monitoring. <br /> <br />GOALS, OBJECTIVES, AND TASKS <br />Project Administration <br />1. SL V RC&D as Project Manager/Administrator (See also Coordination Plan) <br />Product: SL V RC&D to provide project administration and management, semi-annual/annual reports <br />Cost: $34,900.00, includes fiscal management, bookkeeping, office overhead <br />2. Hire On-site Project Coordinator, The ARWRF Board of Directors, with SL V RC&D approval, will hire a <br />coordinator as the on-site project point person to track progress with assistance from hydrologist Steven Belz, <br />Black Creek Hydrology, LLC. Coordinator will assist ARWRF and SLV RC&D in seeing goals, objectives, tasks, <br />and BMPs set forth by the grant project are achieved. Responsibilities include maintaining communication and <br />dialogue with participating owners, contractors, and ARWRF Board. Individual and group meetings with <br />participants will review project's reach, design, and progress. Coordinator will secure participants' cooperation <br />with signatures on all needed contracts and agreements. Public outreach will also include 2 or more public <br />meetings in Capulin/La Jara, field tours, meeting with school groups, and notifying local newspapers and local <br />radio stations of the progress. The coordinator will also work with NRCS in tree and grass planting (See Task 9) <br />and with a grazing management program (See Task 8). <br />Product: Project coordination/communication assistance Cost: $6,500.00 <br />3. Legal/Insurance: Workman's comp, FICA, and legal assistance to complete contracts with hydrologist and <br />contractors. Product: Legal assistance and insurance Cost: $4,000.00 <br />4. Administrative Support: An assistant at the ARWRF La Jara office will help provide support with tracking <br />project activities and meetings. Product: Administrative support Cost: $3,000.00 <br />5. ARWRF Office, Telephone & Postage: Product: La Jara office expenses including photocopies, telephone, <br />and mailing costs Cost: $1,000.00 <br /> <br />GOAL 1: PUBLIC EOUCA TION/INFORMA TION <br />Continue to inform the community and expand public awareness about the river restoration project. <br />OBJECTIVE 1: Public information efforts are highly valuable in maintaining support and participation from <br />landowners, attracting funding sources, and important in exhibiting good use of public funds. <br />TASK 1: Conduct field tours of restoration sites for individuals or targeted groups, radio interviews, articles for <br />newspapers and for relevant organization newsletters and websites.
