<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />s. <br /> <br />Relation to Other CWCB Programs - The project fits well within the stated CWCB mission <br />to "conserve, develop, protect and manage Colorado's water for present and future <br />generations". The intent of the project is to enhance the protection of and the ability to <br />manage the existing Paonia Reservoir storage facility. It also will provide a foundation for <br />evaluation of existing similar problems elsewhere in Colorado. <br /> <br />1. Economic Contribution - The economy in the area surrounding the project is critically <br />dependent on water supplied by Paonia Reservoir. This economy includes agricultural <br />production and residential and commercial activities. The viability of the overall <br />community in the area is linked to water supplies. All of the residential and business <br />activities contribute to State and national economic conditions. <br />
