The dam's capacity was expanded and repaired many times
between 1905 and 1991 to a maximum storage volume of 6,200 acre-feet of absolute storage decree.
The company annually provides /V17,OOO acre feet of agriculture water to 10,000 acres (/V4,OOO
irrigated) and 130 shareholders in Delta County, Colorado. The company holds storage decrees for
7,171 acre feet of water but can only store 6,200 acre feet in the present reservoir. The Overland
currently has a CWCB loan approved to assist in the completion of this project.

The Overland has for more than 100 years provided ever expanding economic support to both Delta
County and the State by providing the water necessary to help sustain Colorado's livestock, grain,
orchard and vineyard agricultural industries. In addition to this economic foundation through
agriculture, The Overland has developed and sustains recreational access and facilities for the citizens
of the State of Colorado at the Overland Reservoir. The reservoir is very popular for camping, fishing,
boating and other recreation. The reservoir is also the only Colorado Division of Wildlife fishery in the
wrltprc;hprL

2
