Eagle County expressed interest in helping the fund the study. <br />Garfield County said it was interested in receiving the study <br />results, but did not commit any funding. <br /> <br />b. The grant request to improve Bull Creek Reservoir No. 4 for $120,000 from <br />the Statewide Funding Account was approved with 22 votes in favor and 0 <br />opposed. <br /> <br />c. The grant request to study the spillway at Bull Creek Reservoir No. 5 for <br />$50,000 from the Basin Funding Account was approved with 20 votes in favor <br />and 1 opposed. Phil Overeynder opposed the grant request because he did <br />not feel that Bull Creek Reservoir Company adequately explained how it <br />would pay for the spillway improvements once the engineering studies were <br />complete. <br /> <br />As a result of the discussion, review and balloting, the Colorado Basin <br />Roundtable wishes to recommend the following projects for funding, to be considered at <br />the September meeting of the Colorado Water Conservation Board. <br /> <br />SB 179 BASIN FUNDS <br /> <br />Missouri Heights Groundwater Monitoring Program <br />Bull Creek Reservoir No 5 Spillway Adequacy Analysis <br /> <br />SB 179 STATEWIDE FUNDS <br />Bull Creek Reservoir No.5 Rehabilitation and Enlargement <br /> <br />By attachment, we are forwarding the application package for the Missouri Heights <br />Groundwater Monitoring Program. We understand that the Bull Creek Reservoir <br />Applications are already at your office. <br /> <br />We have also established a "Project Consideration Proceedures Committee" to <br />develop timelines and written procedures for Project Review and Balloting. These projects <br />went through this committee for review prior to [mal action. <br /> <br />The Colorado Basin Roundtable appreciates the support of the Department of Natural <br />Resources, the Colorado Water Conservation Board and the Interbasin Compact Committee <br />in furthering the development of Colorado's water and in fostering interbasin <br />communications and discussions.
