<br />time (2001) seasonal pumping levels are within 100 feet of the top of the Arapahoe aquifer so all <br />well operations are currently under confined conditions. At the current rate of decline in water <br />levels, it is expected that summer pumping will draw water levels below the top of the aquifer in <br />the next several years. <br /> <br />Cost of Water <br /> <br />Castle Pines North has multiple part tap fees and escalating block rates to cover the cost of <br />developing and operating the water supply system. An initial tap fee of $1 0,500 will be increased <br />to $1 1,000 in 2002 and 2003 and to $11,500 for 2004 and 2005. A further tap fee of $5000 will <br />increase to $7500 by year 2005 at the time of closing on a property. An Infrastructure Fee of <br />$2500 is also collected at closing. <br /> <br />Operating revenues are collected on a monthly billing cycle with water fees being collected <br />separately from wastewater and storm water charges. A minimum water charge of$l 7.50 is <br />collected for the first 3000 gallons. Added to the $17.50 for water is $1.80 per 1000 gallons from <br />3,001 to 12,600 gallons per month, $2.20 per 1000 gallons from 12,601 to 25,200 gallons per <br />month and $3.00 per month for amounts over 25,200 gallons per month. <br />
