Lupton Sand and Gravel Mine, located in the S 'lj of the NW ~ of Section 30, T2N, R67W, Weld <br />County, as shown in Figure 1 of the permit, from outfalls 001 - 002, as shown in Figure 2 of the permit andfurther identified and described in <br />th~ following table. <br /> <br />" <br /> <br />Outfall <br />001 <br />002 <br /> <br />Description and Treatment <br />Discharge/rom the settling basin prior to entering the South Platte River. <br />Discharge from the settling basin prior to entering the Lupton Bottom Ditch. <br /> <br />Estimated Flow Rate <br />Avg. -I.6MGD <br />Avg. = 1 MGD <br /> <br />The discharges are to the Lupton Bottom Ditch and the South Platte River, Segment 1 of the Middle South Platte River Sub-basin, South Platte <br />River Basin, found in the Classifications and Numeric Standards for the South Platte River Basin (5 CCR 1002-38), effective January 30, 2002. <br />Segment 1 has been designated Use Protected and classified for the following uses: Recreation, Class Ia; Aquatic Life, Class 2 (Warm); <br />Agriculture. <br /> <br />Sdlinity (TDS) monitoring of the discharge will not be required. <br />Phosphorus monitoring of the discharge will not be required. <br />Antidegradation review does not apply to this permit. <br /> <br />At the time of application, the permittee certified that they had developed and implemented a Storm water Management Plan (SWMP) for this <br />fadlity. As a condition of this permit, a copy of the SWMP must be provided to the Division upon request. <br /> <br />The permittee is encouraged to read the general rationale for an understanding of how this permit was developed and read the permit to see <br />what requirements exist. In the permit, effluent limitations and monitoring/reporting requirements are specified in Parts lB. and I. C; special <br />notification requirements for effluent violations are addressed in Part /lA. <br /> <br />This certificate has been amended to include an additional outfall (outfall 002) to Lupton Bottom Ditch. When water is present in the ditch, <br />the discharge will flow north and be used for agriculture. When the ditch is dry, the discharge will be pumped south into the South Platte <br />Ri~er. <br /> <br />All correspondence relative to this facility should reference the specific facility number, COG-500394. <br /> <br />Amendment Effective March 17, 2003 Expires SEPTEMBER 30, 2007 <br /> <br />Amended by John K.
