Dear Mr. Vaad:

This responds to a request that the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) revise the effective
Flood Insurance Rate Map (FIRM) and Flood Insurance Study (FIS) report for your community in
accordance with lBI:t 65 of the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) regulations. In a letter dated
August Senior Engineer, Anderson Consulting Engineers, Inc., requested
that FEMA revise the FIRM and FIS report to show the effects of channelization along the Tri - Area
Drainageway for the Firestone Villas S ubdi vision proj ect. The proj ect reach extends along the Tri - Area
Drainageway from approximately 2,400 feet downstream to approximately 950 feet downstream of the
confluence with the Tri-AreaDrainageway Overflow Channel.

All data required to complete our review of this request were submitted with letters from I

We have completed our review of the submitted data and the flood data shown on the effective FIRM and
in the effective FIS report. We have revised the FIRM and FIS report to modifY the elevations and the
floodplain boundary delineations of the flood having a I-percent chance of being equaled or exceeded in
any given year (base flood) along the Tri-AreaDrainageway from approximately 1,050 feet downstream
to approximately 500 feet downstream ofthe confluence with the Tri-AreaDrainageway Overflow
Channel. As a result of the modifications, the Base Flood Elevations (BFEs) for the Tri-Area
Drainageway decreased. The modifications are shown on the enclosed annotated copies of FIRM Panel
0863 C and Profile Panels 36P and 37P. This Letter of Map Revision (LOMR)hereby revises the above-
referenced panel of the effective FIRM dated September 28, 1982, and the affected portions of the FIS
report dated September 22, 1999.

Because this revision request also affects the Town of Firestone, a separate LOMR for that community
was issued on the same date as this LOMR.

The modifications are effective as of the date shown above. The map panel listed above and as modified
by this letter will be used for all flood insurance policies and renewals issued for your community.
