Federal Emergency Management Agency
Washington, D.C. 20472
MAR 2 6 1999

LETTER OF MAP REVISION BASED ON FILL
218-65-R
IN REPLY REFER TO CASE NO. 99-Q8-180A

Community: Town of Windsor, Colorado
Community No.: 080264
Map Panel Affected: 0005 A
Map Effective Date: September 27, 1991

We reviewed a request dated February 17, 1999, for a Letter of Map Revision. All required information for this
request, including the required review and processing fee, was received on February 26, 1999. Using the information
submitted and the effective National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) map, we determined the property described
below is not in a Special Flood Hazard Area (SFHA), the area that would be inundated by the flood having a I-percent
chance of being equaled or exceeded in any given year (base flood). This property was elevated by the placement of
fill after the date of the earliest NFIP map showing the area in the SFHA.

Property Description: Lots 1 through 10, Block 6, Water Valley Subdivision, Filing Two, Phase Two, as
shown on the Plat recorded as Reception No. 2630836, in the Office of the
Recorder, Weld County, Colorado

Flooding Source: Cache La Poudre River

This letter revises the above-referenced NFIP map to remove the property from the SFHA. The property is now in
Zone X (shaded), an area protected by levees from the base flood.

Although the criteria for removal of a parcel of land based on fill have been met for this request, we encourage you
to require that both the lowest adjacent grade (lowest ground touching the structure) and the lowest floor (including
basement/crawl space) of each structure placed on the property be elevated to a level at or above the base flood
elevation.

The enclosed document provides additional information about Letters of Map Revision. If you have any questions
about this letter, please contact Ms. Sally Magee of our staff in Washington, DC, either by telephone at
(202) 646-8242 or by facsimile at (202) 646-4596.

Sincerely,

'\~~. ~~

Matthew B.
