Tagliente
Mayor, Town of Frederick
P.O. Box 435
Frederick, CO 80530-0435

Community: Town of Frederick, CO
Community No.: 080244
Panels Affected: 080266 0850 C, 0861 C, and
0863 C .
Effective Date of AUG 2. it 2001
This Revision:

102-I-C

Dear Mayor Tagliente:

This responds to a request that the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) revise the effective
Flood Insurance Rate Map (FIRM) for the unincorporated areas of Weld County, Colorado, in
accordance with Part 65 of the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) regulations. In a letter dated
September 8, 2000, Project Engineer, QCI Development Services Group, Inc.
(QCI), requested that FEMA revise the FIRM to show the effects of more detailed topographic
information, channelization, and placement offill along Chance Ditch (also known as Godding Hollow)
from approximately 3,000 feet downstream to just downstream of State Route 18 within the Eagle Valley
Subdivision. This request follows up on a Conditional Letter of Map Revision issued on March 29,
2000.

All data required to complete our review of this request were submitted with letters from
P.E., Project Manager, also with QCI.

and

We have completed our review of the submitted data and the flood data shown on the effective FIRM.
We have revised the FIRM to modify the floodplain boundary delineations of the flood having a
I-percent chance of being equaled or exceeded in any given year (base flood) along Chance Ditch. As a
result of the modifications, the width ofthe Special Flood Hazard Area (SFHA), the area that would be
inundated by the base flood, for Chance Ditch increased in some areas and decreased in other areas. The
modifications are shown on the enclosed annotated copies of FIRM Panels 080266 0850 C, 0861 C, and
0863 C. This Letter of Map Revision (LOMR) hereby revises the above-referenced panels ofthe
effective FIRM dated September 28, 1982.

Because this revision request also affects the unincorporated areas of Weld County, a separate LOMR for
that community was issued on the same date as this LOMR. Although the area covered by this request is
shown on the effective FIRM as within the unincorporated areas of Weld County, a portion of it was
annexed by the Town of Frederick on February 25, 1988.
