Basin Directors' Reports - South Platte River Basin <br />Tape 2, Track I 00:41:43 - 00:50:45 <br />Action: Informational item only, no action taken, <br /> <br />17 g, Basin Directors' Reports - Rio Grande Basin <br />Tape 2, Track I 00:50:45 - 00:54:15 <br />Action: Informational item only, no action taken, <br /> <br />17h, Basin Directors' Reports - Arkansas River Basin <br />Tape 2, Track I 00:54:15- 01:02:29 <br />Action: Informational item only, no action taken, <br /> <br />18, Water Supply Protection Section - Navajo-Gallup EIS & Status of Navajo <br />Settlement Negotiations - Arizona Position <br />Tape 2, Track 1 01:02:29 - 01:18:36 <br />Action: A motion was made by Don Schwindt and seconded by Carl Trick to approve <br />Staff's recommendation that the Board: 1) Continue to indicate its support for the <br />Navajo Settlement and for the resolution of issues the Southwestern Water <br />Conservation District (SWWCD) raised during the development of that <br />Settlement; 2) Resolve those issues in a manner consistent with the conditions <br />upon which the Board gave its approval of the Hydrologic Determination and <br />which conditions were also recognized as part of the Upper Colorado River <br />Commission (UCRC) acceptance of the Hydrologic Determination; 3) Indicate <br />its objections to Arizona's position concerning the accounting of Upper Basin <br />water used in the Lower Basin raised during the development of the legislation <br />approving the Navajo Settlement and construction of the Navajo-Gallup Water <br />Supply Project (NGWSP); 4) Direct Staffto work with the Attorney General's <br />Office to develop a letter stating those objections and that such be transmitted to <br />the Department of Interior, Bureau of Reclamation, New Mexico, to Colorado's <br />Congressional Delegation, and the other Colorado River Basin States, Hanis <br />Sherman was not present for the vote. The motion was approved unanimously <br />(8-0). <br /> <br />19, Water Supply Protection Section - HR. 1833 - Prefened Storage Options Plan <br />Authorization <br />Tape 2, Track I 01:18:36 - 02:18:18 <br />Action: An amended motion was made by Eric Wilkinson and seconded by Carl Trick to <br />direct Staff to create a draft letter to Congressmen Salazar and Lamborn <br />expressing the Board's concerns with deviating from the course of action that has <br />been followed with the Prefened Storage Options Plan action since its inception <br />and endorsing a continuation of that action in cooperation amongst the entities <br /> <br />Flood Protection.
