<br />Water Supply Reserve Account - Grant Application Form <br /> <br />Form Revised October 2006 <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />3. <br /> <br />Please provide an overview of water project or activity to be funded including - type of activity, <br />statement of what the activity is intended to accomplish, the need for the activity, the problems and <br />opportunities to be addressed, expectations of the participants, why the activity is important, the service <br />area or geographic location, and any relevant issues etc. Please include any relevant Tabor issues. Please <br />refer to Part 2 of criteria and guidance document for additional detail on information to include. Attach <br />additional sheets as needed. <br /> <br />The study is needed in order to look at expanding the Jackson Gulch Dam and new storage <br />possibilities in the barrow pit. The Mancos Valley is in need of additional storage of approximately <br />2,000 acre teet of water in order to provide for future water needs. The Jackson Gulch Reservoir <br />Expansion Project consists of 2 components. <br /> <br />1) Jackson Gulch Dam. ($80,000) (from the Basin Account) <br />a. The funds will be used to provide a feasibility study for raising the existing Dam for <br />additional storage. <br /> <br />2) Lake Mancos Dam. ($38,000) = ($20,000 + $18,000) <br />a. The funds will be used to provide a feasibility study tor a new Lake Mancos Dam, <br />Reservoir and Canals at the borrow area created in the original construction. <br />b. This application asks for $20.000 (53%) from the Statewide Account. <br />c.
