2000 and 2005 (http://www.census.gov/) I
o State of Colorado Department of Local Affairs data obtained for the City of
Rifle for the years 2003 and 2004 (http://www.dola.colobdo.gov/index.html)
o Straight line calculations from 2000 to 2003 to estimate the population for
the years 2001 and 2002 I
o Recent numbers of municipal building permit applications issued served as
basis of extrapolating 2005 Census Bureau data to 2006'1

(based on growth between 2005 and 2006)
