Legal description of the stream segment through which an instream <br />flow is claimed: <br /> <br />The confluence with an unnamed tributary at latitude 370 59' 28"N and <br />longitude 1 080 06' 36"W as the upstream terminus and extending to the <br />confluence with the San Miguel River at latitude 380 01' 51 "N and <br />longitude 108006' 33 "W as the downstream terminus, being a distance of <br />approximately 3.2 miles. This segment can be located on the Placerville and <br />Little Cone V.S.G.S. quadrangles. <br /> <br />5. Use of water: <br /> <br />Instream flow to preserve the natural environment to a reasonable <br />degree. <br /> <br />6. Date of initiation of appropriation: <br /> <br />January 23, 2002. <br /> <br />7. The water was first applied to the above beneficial use on January 23, <br />2002, by action of the Colorado Water Conservation Board under the <br />provision ofC.R.S. S S 37-92-102(3),37-92-103(3), (4), (10). <br /> <br />8. Amount of water claimed (ABSOLUTE): Instream flow of 1.6 cfs (April <br />1 - April 30); 4.3 cfs (May 1 - May 31); 0.2 cfs (June 1 - March 3]). <br /> <br />9. Remarks: The Specie Creek instream flow right begins below the J & M <br />Hughes Ditch ("Hughes Ditch"). The CWCB recognizes the Hughes <br />Ditch historic practice of diverting all water upstream of the Hughes <br />
