Rain Check is ajoint project sponsored by Technical Service
Corporation (TSC), Applied Physics Laboratories, and the Federal Emergency
Management Agency's (FEMA's) EI Paso County office which is once again driven by
volunteer participants. After contacting the National Weather Service's (NWS's) office in
Pueblo, CO, the NWS produced Figure 1.18 using a combination of Rain Check data and
official NWS total rainfall amounts. According to the NWS rainfall map, the EI Paso
County area had total rainfall amounts varying anywhere from 0.13 inches near Falcon,
CO to 2.49 inches recorded near the Colorado Springs Airport for June 271h,

-:TtJrJE 1..7 ~4

I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I

ArclMS HTML Viewer Ma
'$ll

.-.
'01

,'~

.

.

,I'
.

.)<>'

.71

Cl)

KfCs+

W.P(.~_~ ....:..~ -C<>PI"~~1<O 1"2-2002 fSllllOC

.

.17

.

.

.....

.

""",..
