The agreement will formalize past commitments in which the United States agreed to <br /> <br />allow junior water users in the basin to develop up to 60,000 acre-feet of water within the natural <br /> <br />basin of the Gunnison River. <br /> <br />Representatives of the Bureau of Reclamation, State of Colorado, Colorado River Water <br /> <br />Conservation District, and Upper Gunnison River Water Conservancy District will begin the <br /> <br />negotiations at 10 a.m., Friday, April 21, at the Bureau of Reclamation office, 2764 Compass <br /> <br />Drive, Suite 106, Grand Junction, CO 81506, The negotiations are open for the public to observe <br /> <br />and, once the negotiations are over, they may ask questions and make comments. <br /> <br />For more information, questions about the negotiations, or to obtain a copy of the draft <br /> <br />agreement, contact Ed Warner at the Grand Junction Bureau of Reclamation office, <br /> <br />(970) 248-0654. <br /> <br />### <br />
