The term (i.e., duration) of contracts or assignments tOr the <br />transfer of project water win be in accordance with the then applicable policies on the ~ of <br />contracts, but in no event can the period 'exceed the remaining term of the repayment, water <br />service, or other form of contract which is the source of the project water being transferred. <br /> <br />14. Land Classificatioa. Project water may be delivered for inigation purposes only to <br />lands that have been classified by Reclamation as arabl~ even after.such project water bas been <br />transferred. Excepted from this requirement is water delivered under an exchange agreement <br />which loses its "project water" character upQIl delivery. Also excepted is project water <br />originating in paid-out projects or from paid-out districts. <br /> <br />. The level of detail for classification of land in project watatransfer.situatioos will vary on a caso- <br />by-case basis depending on the fonowing factom: <br /> <br />A. . The existence and/or status of past classification Work.. <br /> <br />B. History of past irrigation. <br /> <br />C. Existing contract language addressing transfers project wata'. <br /> <br />D.
