<br />Needs Assessment Work Group <br />Conference Call Meeting Notes <br /> <br />November 9th, 2006 <br />1:00 - 2:30 <br /> <br />IBCC Members on the Call: Alan Hamel, Melinda Kassen, Eric Kuhn and Bill Trampe <br /> <br />State of Colorado: Eric Hecox (DNR), Rick Brown (CWCB) <br /> <br />Technical Assistance Contractor: Sue Morea (CDM) <br /> <br />Facilitator: Chris Moore, CDR Associates <br /> <br />The Working Group discussed four agenda items during the conference call: <br /> <br />I) The Composition l?lthe Work Group - The needs assessment work group could <br />have a role in helping prioritize work undertaken under the Technical Assistance <br />Contract. If this is the case does it have the right members and is there broad <br />enough representation? <br /> <br />2) The Role and Tasks l?lthe Work Group in providing input to the state regarding <br />task undertaken pursuant to the Technical Contract - What are the functions and <br />roles of the Group in providing input for work tasks under the Technical <br />Assistance Contract? <br /> <br />3) The Authority l?lthe Work Group to Make Decisions on Recommendations to <br />the State on Studies to be Conducted by the Contractor - What will be the <br />authority of the Work Group to make recommendations on studies and sources of <br />funding? <br /> <br />4) chabperson for the Work Group - Should there be a Chairperson for the Work <br />Group, what functions should he or she perform and who should fill this role <br /> <br />5) Needs of Roundtables beyond the Technical Assistance Contract - What <br />additional assistance do roundtables need, and how might the Working Group <br />help to meet them? <br /> <br />The Composition l?lthe Work Group - The initial task of the Work Group was to <br />select the Technical Assistance Contractor. Once this was accomplished, what role <br />could the work group play in helping organize and prioritize work tasks undertaken <br />under the technical assistance contract? <br />
