<br />OGJ-;gS <br /> <br />Summary of Water Resources in Northern Mexico . <br /> <br />Salton Sea <br />· The primary sources of flow to the Alamo and New Rivers from within Mexico include <br />municipal/industrial wastewater and raw sewage effluent from Mexicali, Colorado River water <br />not consumed or exported, and agricultural drainage from the northern portions of MexicaIi <br />Valley. <br /> <br />· The average annual flow of the Alamo River where it crosses the border ranges between 1,500 <br />to 1,600 AF. <br /> <br />· Since 1980, the annual mean streamflow of the New River where it crosses the border at <br />Calexico has ranged from 118,000 to 264,000 AF. High flow years on the New River are <br />coincident with high flow years on the Colorado River. <br /> <br />Figure 7.
