The group reached general agreement that the line item providing funds for a study of Colorado <br />River water supply should stay in this year ’s project bill, as written, without specifically adding <br />or defining a role for the IBCC. <br /> <br />Public Comment <br /> <br />No public comments were offered. <br /> <br />Future Meetings <br /> <br />IBCC members reviewed possible agenda items for future meetings, including the business items <br />(wo rking group reports, etc.) not covered during this meeting and more discussion about <br />Colorado River issues. The group agreed to cover these topics at the March meeting. T. Wright <br />Dickinson asked to place another issue on a future agenda – small storage p rojects, and the <br />difficulty of implementing them given administrative and environmental process requirements. <br />Ray Wright suggested an overview of projects moving forward outside the Roundtable process, <br />and Wayne Vanderschuere raised the study of water req uirements for energy development <br />proposed by the Yampa/White and Colorado basins as an important topic for the IBCC to learn <br />more about. Jeris Danielson proposed that the IBCC hear a presentation from recreational and <br />environmental interests on non - consum ptive uses. <br /> <br />Rick Brown pointed out that the IBC C has a specific role in the SB 179 criteria and guidelines to <br />w ork with the R oundtables in developing the R oundtables application, review and approval <br />process for grants and loans. Rick asked IBCC members to discuss with their Roundtables the <br />process and the importance to do outreach to potential candidates for SB 179 funding. T he <br />Deleted: <br />do outreach <br />CWCB receives a large volume of calls asking for information on how to approach the <br />Roundtables . Several IBCC memb ers indicated that it is difficult to coordinate and develop <br />work products with volunteer members. Mr. Brown offered to put together fact sheets about <br />Deleted: <br />offered to <br />each Roundtable’s process with information provided by the Roundtables. Eric Hecox provided <br />each member with a document in their meeting packet that outlines questions to discuss with <br />Roundtables about process. Rick Brown also made available a draft document containing <br />answers to frequently asked questions about the 179 process, for committee i nput. <br /> <br />The group reviewed dates for future meetings . Several members raised conflicts with the <br />th <br />proposed April 6 meeting, and asked DNR to poll the group via email for alternate dates. <br /> <br /> <br />16 <br />
