EAGLE RIVER

FLOOD HYDROLOGY
DATA APPENDIX

INTRODUCTION TO DATA
APPENDIX

The Data Appendix provides documentation on USGS stream gages in Eagle County utilized
in determining the Flood Hydrology for the mainstem of the Eagle River.

The gage information is presented in numerical order, by gage, as shown on Figure 1. Each
gage has location and datum information, photographs, peak flow records, a daily flow
hydrograph, and results of the Log Pearson Type III analysis using the USGS PEAKFQ
program, v. 4.0.

Additional interpretive comments are included, either with photographs, or at the end of the
PEAKFQ analysis.

All existing gages appeared to be sited such that reliable data could be obtained, with
exception of perhaps the Brush Creek Gage, which may have high flows access the overbank
and bypass the gage. A shortage of records on the Lake Creek gage make it marginally
reliable for estimating peak flows.

~

Wat.er Resource Consult.ant.s, LLC
--'
