2-07 House Committee Lay Over Unamended

Madam Chair:

Mr. An/ish:

Madam Chair:

Mr. Arnish:

Madam Chair:

Mr. Stencel:

Madam Chair:

Mr. Stencel:

can assure you that my eight-year old will testify today that his
bike is functioning and it's because I had a clear set of instructions.

As you've heard we have several issues that we need further
explanation on at Colorado Corn. We look at House Bill 1177 as a
good idea with possible benefits to all water users here in our state;
however, these questions are at the forefront of our mind. This
concludes my comments here today and I thank you for your time.
I thank Representative Penry for bringing this bill forward for
discussion. I'll entertain any questions that you may have at this
time.

Mr. Amish, you said you have a handout there. Does that kind of
summarize your remarks?

It does.

Okay; great. Thank you. That's always helpful. Representative
Penry, do you have your hand up? Any questions from the
committee for Mr. Amish? Thank you very much.

Thank you.

Is there anyone else here that hasn't signed up that would like to
testify? Yes, sir.

I think I did sign up.

Oh, did you. I'm sorry if! missed that. I have about eight sheets
going here. If you could state your name and who you're
representing for the record that'd be great.

I'm John Stencel, President of Rocky Mountain Farmer's Union.
Madam Chair and members of the committee, I know it is late and
I will be brief.

First of all Rocky Mountain Fanner's Union enthusiastically
supports 1177 in concept. Just like many of the other people in the
room we have some concerns.

About three and a half years ago when I came back to Rocky
Mountain Farmer's Union we created a water task force in the
organization primarily due to the problems with the drought. That
water task force looked at the needs for statewide water data and
behold, along comes SWSI and we're very pleased with a lot of the
good information that SWSI provides.

www.escriptionist.com
