In an attempt to maintain uniformity (and to avoid the Republican Basin problem the
CWCB and CWRPDA have), the IBCC roundtables were based on the Water Divisions
used by the State Engineer and state water courts.

Two exceptions were the North Platte in Division 6 and the Metro in Division 1.

Division 4 is generally referred to as the Gunnison basin - though the boundaries of
Division 4 run west to the state line - and the Gunnison River doesn't.

For most of its nm in Colorado, the Dolores River is in Division 7. Only as it leaves the
state does it enter into Division 4.

The Dolores River basin is in one Basin Roundtable through the state line by changing
the boundaries of the Dolores / San Miguel/San Juan Roundtable to include Water
Management Districts 60, 61 and 63.

The people of southwest Colorado asked for this change.

No one loses a seat on the Gunnison or D/SM/SJ Roundtables because of the change.

Mesa County will pick up a seat on the D/SM/SJ Roundtable.
