<br />Roundtable Responsibilities <br /> <br />Procedural <br />By-Lml's: <br /> <br />Each roundtable must adopt by-laws, operating procedures, goals, and <br />objectives. <br /> <br />Leadership: <br /> <br />Each roundtable may select leadership positions: Suggestions include a <br />chairperson, two vice-chairpersons, and a recording secretary. <br /> <br />Sub-Roundtables: <br /> <br />Roundtables may establish sub-roundtables to address and resolve issues <br />within the roundtable's boundaries. <br /> <br />Substantive <br />Appoint Representatives to the IBCC - Each roundtable will appoint two representatives to the <br />Interbasin Compact Committee (the appointees do not need to be members of the roundtable). <br /> <br />Basin-Wide Water Needs Assessment <br />Each roundtable must develop a basin-wide water needs assessment. <br />. This is to be performed in cooperation with local governments, area water providers, and <br />others. <br />. The needs assessment will: <br />o Look at both consumptive and nonconsumptive needs, <br />o Analyze the availability of unappropriated waters within the basin, and <br />o Propose projects or non-stmcturalmethods for meeting water supply needs and <br />utilizing unappropriated waters where appropriate. <br />. Any proposed projects or methods will be forwarded to the Interbasin Compact <br />Committee. <br /> <br />Public Involvement <br />Roundtables will serve as a fonull for public involvement regarding alternative proposals for <br />meeting water needs of the basin. <br /> <br />Colorado Department of Natural Resources <br />Office of Interbasin Compact Negotiations <br /> <br />..., <br />.J <br />
