The report delineates the 50-year
and IOO-year floodplains for the reach of the Yampa River from Craig downstream to Dinosaur
National Monument. The report allows interested parties to determine preliminarily whether
particular sites are in the 50-year and IOO-year floodplain of the Yampa River.

1.2 Acknowledgements

The assistance and cooperation in supplying information of the individuals, agencies, firms, and
organizations listed below are appreciated and gratefully acknowledged:

Larry F. The FIS' include peak flow values
for 50-year and 100-year floods in the vicinity of Craig, Colorado, along with detailed floodplain
mapping. The Moffat County FIS also includes approximate floodplain information for an
additional one-half mile downstream of the limit of detailed study. The flow values from the two
FIS' and the accompanying detailed floodplain delineations have been incorporated into this
report

The U.S Army Corps of Engineers prepared a Flood Hazard Information Report for Craig,
Colorado, dated November, 1977 (Reference 3). The study includes detailed flood mapping and
flow values for stream reaches within the City of Craig and in adjacent portions of unincorporated

1
