Ms. McKeith also <br />represents water agencies and private interests on <br />environment and land use issues. She currently is <br />lead counsel for the Los Angeles Community <br />Redevelopment Agency on matters involving the <br />Los Angeles SportS and Entenainment ("Staples") <br />Complex, and has handled a number of otner nlgn <br />profile CEQA cases. Ms. McKeith also provides <br />transactional advice for real est~te, mergers and <br />acquisitions, and lending transactions_ <br /> <br />Governor Wilson appointed Ms. McKelth to several <br />significant committees aealing with environmental, <br />land use, and water law Issues. Ms. McKeith <br />currently is a member of the Colorado River Board <br />of California, and previously served on the <br />Governor's Flooa Plain Management Task Force, <br />and the California Fish & Game Commission. She <br />sat on the Blue Ribbon CommisSion on Unified <br />Environmental Statutes and the Governor's <br />Committee on Military Base Reuse_ Ms. McKeith <br />frequently appears before both federal and state <br />agencies including the Department of Agriculture, <br />the Army Corps of Engineers, the Department of <br />the Interior, the Environmental Protection Agency <br />("EPAh), the California Regional Water Quality <br />Control BoardS, tne Cahfornla Department of Fish <br />and Game and the United States Fish and Wildlife <br />Service. <br /> <br />In at1dition to her practice, Ms. McKeith was a <br />Governor of the State Bar of California from <br />1994-97 and cLfrrently IS on the Board of California <br />Women Lawyers. She chaired the Los Angeles <br />County Bar Judicial Appointments Committee which <br />provides input to the Governor on appointments to <br />the judiciary. She pre\fiously was a Trustee of the <br />Los Angeles County Bar Association; a Board <br />Member of the Women Lawyers Association of Los <br />Angeles; and a Vice.President of the Los Angeles <br />Junior Chaml)er of Cc,mmerce.
