The diversion is
located on the Roaring Fork River, about 2 miles north of Carbondale and the delivery system
consists of open ditch and siphon pipe. The diversion has been rehabilitated, but 2,000 feet of the
siphon is in poor condition and needs to be rehabilitated starting in fall 2002. The year 2000
volume diverted was 6,600 acre-feet. The Glenwood Irrigation Company is a mutual ditch
company and a nonprofit corporation registered in the State of Colorado. The Company's
engineer has completed preliminary plans and specifications for the project and the Company
has completed the feasibility study. Proposed funding for the project consists of a CWCS Small
Project Loan for $386,000, a $15,000 grant from the Colorado River Water Conservation
District, and the remainder from the Company.

''1\
, :r

"'\ .'

.~.
'. ;....1.
" t..'\

...1>~-"'-' 0 .
, \. \\,..
'-.1-:

5
