In 1994 a Kansa.'i Waler Otlicc evaluation of the WKWMP showed.t 27% reduction of
crop-hail damage. statistically significant at the 5% level. with a BencfiHo-Cost ratio of 37 : I.
"Illal is, for every SI in progrdm funding, S37 was returned in increased crop value. Earlier this
year, an update to the 1994 K wa evaluation was completed 10 include the years 1995-2005.
The updated evaluation showed the same level of seeding success over the Ia'il I O-years a'i
indicated previously in the 1994 study.
