Yahn: In north system, we are short system, so we have 100 years of history
to know what will be best way to utilize our farms. Thus, over the years, this
kind of study has been done although without this level of technology.

Fred Walker: I am a supporter of the "buy and dry"; I live in urbanizing area
and "one size fits all" does not fit every situation. We need to be careful that
we are not limiting the possibility for others.

RalfTopper: I attended Metro Roundtable meeting; Jay Winter of the lower
AK Valley did a presentation; Metro Roundtable agreed to fund Parker
request in part because they saw two different approaches to same problem:
mral approach from AK and urban approach from Parker.

Jaeger: Point of this is that AG community controls water.

Gene Manuello: As Ag. Rep for South Platte Round Table, believe that this is
an important issue for us to consider. There is extensive awareness of what is
proposed in this study; 100% of people I talked to are not in favor of Ag
suppOlting this project; not against it, but not for it. Also, does not feel that
the Roundtable money is to be used for this. We have so many other projects.

Jerke: This is South Platte Roundtable money; have you considered asking
for study money from State Wide Pool?

Jaeger: Yes, we are considering it.

McVicker: State Wide money seems appropriate.

Forrest Whitman: Look at original testimony of 1177 concept, coming from
CCI AG committee; notion is that 1177 roundtables would come up with
innovative approaches to global problem; would favor the notion to funding
innovative solutions.

Jerke: This is a potential 3 year process; is it really innovative?
Not thinking of the Parker question in and of itself, but other studies that are
already here.

Bmce Gerk: Long standing discussion we have had at this roundtable; lots of
impacts, lots of philosophies; go back to development of river and survival of
river and return flows; we have not discussed the ag communities and the
impact of return flows on them; have not discussed the change of technology
and the impact on the ag communities; impacts on mral CO; where can we
stretch the ability of an area to support them and provide food for them, need
to realize that the things that we are doing in this Roundtable to address what
our grandchildren in 2100 will need; cannot continue to reduce the food
supply; cannot as a farmer accept that reducing the food supply is a good

7
