<br />South Platte Basin Roundtable Meeting Minutes <br />May 8, 2007 <br />Longmont, Colorado <br /> <br />Please contact Lisa McVicker for any changes or corrections to the minutes: <br />mcvicker@qwest.net <br /> <br />Corrections to minutes from April 10, 2007: <br />Page 7: After Jeff Baker's presentation regarding the Windy Gap project, Diane Hoppe <br />asked Mr. Baker if there would be return flows anywhere. Minutes report Mr. Baker <br />responded "yes"; surely he meant "no." <br /> <br />NEXT MEETING: Joint Meeting with Metro Roundtable Basin; date, time and <br />location to be announced. <br /> <br />Bill Jerke calls the meeting to order at 4: l5pm. <br /> <br />I. Standard Reports: <br />. IBCC Report: Eric Wilkinson: IBCC has not met since last meeting. <br />. Groundwater Sub-Committee report: Joe Frank/Ralf Topper: Final <br />report available on Colorado Water Conservation Board website. <br />www.cwcb.gov; Senate has passed resolution to direct the CWCB to <br />further the study and to consider how the results of the study might be <br />implemented. <br />. Legislative Report: Eric Wilkinson <br />Diane Hoppe/Don Ament: Adjourned early; largest concern was still with <br />Severance Tax funding that goes to fund CWCB and Endangered Species <br />Act; Constmction fund did pass; <br />June 25 and June 26th: Education tour of Gunnison; <br />Don Ament: Representing CO in Platte River Integrated Recovery <br />Program; process is going forward; process of authorization in DC; <br />Senator Nelson is carrying Bill in US Senate as well as Udall in House; <br />Jerry Kenny is Executive Director of Program; alternate: Ted Zowalski; <br /> <br />Fred Walker: reports on Rocky Mtn. Natl. Park protection program: <br />Federal legislation to attempt to protect the park to a greater degree must <br />assure that water supply interests adequately protected. <br /> <br />CWCB Report: Eric Wilkinson: re: Water Supply Reserve Applications: <br />next round for State Funds is in September; many applications being <br />introduced; applications need to be in 60 days before meeting to make sure <br />that applications are complete. Application needs to be in, therefore, by <br />July. Basin Funds are considered at every meeting; <br />Mike Shimmin: Only change is an allocation to look at Pine Beetle. <br /> <br />1 <br />
