Rick Brown: Status of specific water activities and task orders; explanation of
matrix:
1) List of variety of tasks under 1177 Legislative Categories (i.e.:
Consumptive Use, Non-consumptive Use; Analysis of Unappropriated Water;
Projects and Methods to Address Gap).
2) Then: tracking if Roundtable is aware of it and has approved it; is it part of
needs assessment; Inter-basin Coordination OppOltunities (does project
address more than one basin); legal issues associated with project; opportunity
for phased approach; opportunity for coordination with CWCB; Opportunity
for Cooperation with other agencies initiatives and funding mechanisms (HB
1400 Contractor Support or SB 179 Basin Account or SB Competitive
Account).

3) Then, Task Order/Project Summary: Needs Assessment Refinement;
for South Platte: Ovid Reservoir; Nonconsumptive; 10,825 Upper CO River
Endangered Fish Recovery Program; Analysis of Unappropriated Water in
CO; Chatfield Reservoir Ecosystem Restoration Work; Heyborne River
Augmentation (Duck's Unlimited: non consumptive project); Chatfield
Reallocation; Republican River Basin Supply and Demand Study.

Other Roundtables'Status: Sue distributes spreadsheet for AK basin to
illustrate activity of other basins and how these tracking sheets illustrate other
basins activities;
Rick Brown: Caveat: this is a work in progress; some of the tasks on the AK
are underlined which means that other documents are linked to these; for
instance, AK has a 1400 request to go forward with a refinement of the needs
assessment and consumptive and nonconsumptive use assessment; Tamarisk
Phreatophyte Control; multiple projects going forward in AK basin;
Focus needs to be for us to be aware of statewide money availability;

Rick Brown: Caveat: any project must be approved by the roundtable; thus,
roundtables' approach is different in all 9 basins; suggestion for our
roundtable: DNR can give guidance for evaluation and review process (what
does this mean, what do we need to do); how was this process and project
selected: who opposed it and why; thus, DNR is here to work with us on
process.
