Eurasina Milfoild, aquatic weed in St Vrain, Boulder Creek progressing <br />downstream, would like to move this to March meeting <br /> <br />Mike Shimmin: New idea: Something that our basin needs done: what is the consumptive <br />use associated with a septic tank disposal system; how does the reality compare with the <br />conventional use of 10% consumptive use questionable; seems like a useful topic; <br />something that affects lots of subdivisions along front range; good study for all; <br />Jerke: this could be a companion to Boulder study; <br />Walter Knudsen: The 10% consumptive use of septic tanks came out of the state <br />engineers office; was literature research, not scientific study; School of Mines has done <br />work in this area; <br />Kathay Rennels: 20 MA and PhD students at CSU; these presentations along with <br />Boulder County and Shimmin proposal; i.e. Red Feather Lake: 900 small lots; water <br />privately owned; water that is hauled off from these septics; Hunt Lambert of CSU; Bob <br />Seekrest at School of Mines would be good resources. <br /> <br />10 <br />
