SWSI Information on the South Platte Basin, Rick Brown <br />Additional information found at: <br />www.cwcb.state.co.us <br />Questions can be directed to: <br />swsi@cdm.com <br /> <br />Rick Brown distributes hardcopy of the PowerPoint which is briefly <br />summarized below. <br />Mr. Brown also distributes copies of the Interim Water Supply and Needs <br />Report for the South Platte Basin and Denver/South Metro Counties produced <br />in July 2006. <br /> <br />Project Overview Number 3: <br />--Perhaps need to focus on our own sub-basins within the South Platte Basin; <br />Complete SWSI report voluminous, important to look at issues in specific <br />sub-basins. <br />--Review of technical tasks outlined in HB 1177 <br />Develop basin wide consumptive water supply needs; conduct analysis of <br />available unappropriated waters with the basin; propose projects or <br />methods for meeting consumptive and nonconsumptive needs; develop <br />basin wide non-consumptive water supply needs <br />--Intelterm report available <br />--Handout of presentation available in hardcopy at meeting <br /> <br />1) Outline of 9 basins <br />2) Water Supply Needs Assessment questions: <br />--current level of detail adequate; additional studies needed; missing info? <br />3) South Platte Sub basins: geographic divisions: county level then <br />boundaries developed on other basins; metro basin does not break out; <br />likewise county boundaries do not marry water district boundaries; so must <br />think about what we need to think about per our sub basin <br /> <br />--9 objectives reviewed <br /> <br />4 <br />
