Delivery: 4500 acre-feet

Type of Borrower: Agricultural

CWCB Construction Fund Loan: $7,200,000 Interest Rate: 2.50%

Term: 30 years

The NCLPIC currently provides irrigation water to service approximately 35,000 acres in Larimer
and Weld counties, located immediately north of the Cache La Poudre and South Platte rivers
between Windsor and Barnesville. Water is diverted from the Cache La Poudre River by the New
Cache Diversion Structure located near Timnath, to feed the Greeley Canal No.2, which NCLPIC
. manages in order to provide water for its shareholders. Average delivery is about 37,500 acre-feet
per year. The purposes of the project are to provide water storage to equalize ditch flows, to
improve the efficiency and reliability of the NCLPIC system, provide storage to meet excess
demand in order to benefit the shareholders and other water users in the Cache La Poudre and
South Platte river basins, and to augment groundwater supplies to compensate for well pumping.
The intent of the proposed project is to construct three reservoirs near Barnesville, about 11 miles
northeast of Greeley, to equalize ditch flows, improve system efficiency (approx. 2000 AF/year),
and provide additional storage (approx. 2500 AFlyear) to meet excess demand. The project will
consist of the 300 acre-foot Barnesville Equalizer Reservoir, the 1600 acre-foot Comish Plains
ReseNoir, the 600 acre-foot Drury Reservoir, a diversion structure to divert water from the North
Side Extension Ditch into the Barnesville Equalizer, a pump station, and 2450 If of 315" pipeline and
5870 If of 24"pipeline connecting the 3 reservoirs.

Location Map
