The Canal is approximately 50 miles long, with <br />headgate on the Poudre River, north of Windsor. This project involves construction of 3 new reservoirs <br />about 10 miles east of Greeley, at BarnesvUle. These reservoirs will improve the yield and reliability of <br />the canal system. The project will be started in 2003 and completed in 2005. Duane Smith, P.E. of <br />Smith Geotechnical Engineering Consultants will complete the feasibility study. Proposed funding for <br />the project consists of a $6.49 million Construction Fund Loan and a $5,000 Feasibility Study Grant <br />from the CWCB, and the remainder from the Borrower. <br /> <br />Location Map <br />
