Whiteing & Smith <br />serves as general legal counsel to the District. The total. grant under this contract is $133,555.00 <br />for the Rio Grande Reservoir Multi-Use Enlargement Study (the "Study"). Of that amount, <br />$123,SSSAO has been allocated for Engineering Services under contract with Camp Dresser & <br />McKee. The remaining $10,000.00 will be used by the District for legal services related to the <br />Study. Whiteing & Smith will provide legal assistance and analysis as necessary in support of <br />engineering study including: <br />I. Participate in coordination meetings with the District and CWCB <br />2. Participate in meetings/coozdination with various stakeholder(interest groups <br />3. Review and participate in fatal flaw analysis for wetlands, threatened and <br />endangered species <br />4. Legal analysis as needed on federal, state and local permitting requirements for <br />enlargement of Rio Grande Reservoir <br />
