USGS gage data for the Julesburg Gage were obtained for the <br />period of 4/1/1902 - 9/30/1997. The maximum daily discharge of 30,800 cfs for the study period <br />was used for the calculations. <br /> <br />The computed 100 year water surface elevation of3553.3' (Q=30,800 cfs) for the cross-section <br />appears to fall well below the toe elevation of the current reservoir layout. The top width ofthe <br />floodplain is approximately 4300' with roughly 2300' of the floodplain extending to the north of the <br />active low flow channel. Based on this information, the location of the reservoir does not appear to <br />be impacted by floodplain concerns. <br /> <br />15 <br /> <br />
