In a letter dated
September 27, 2001, . J, Rocky Mountain Consultants, requested that FEMA revise
the FIRM and FIS report to show the effects of the Aspen Creek development project along Quail Creek
and Tributary D. This request included revised hydrologic and hydraulic analyses to reflect existing
channel conditions along Quail Creek from approximately 1,600 feet downstream of Sheridan Parkway
to Country Estates Pond, which is located just upstream of South 124th Street, and along Tributary D
from the confluence with Quail Creek to approximately 50 feet downstream of South 124th Street. This
request follows up on a Conditional Letter of Map Revision issued on June 14,2001.

All data required to complete our review of this request were submitted with letters from

We have completed our review of the submitted data and the flood data shown on the effective FIRM
and in the effective FIS report. We have revised the FIRM and FIS report to modify the elevations,
floodplain boundary delineations, and zone designations of the flood having a I-percent chance of being
equaled or exceeded in any given year (base flood) along Quail Creek and Tributary D. As a result of the
modifications, Base Flood Elevations (BFEs) were established for Quail Creek from approximately
1,600 feet downstream of Sheridan Parkway to approximately 600 feet upstream of Fox Ridge Drive and
for Tributary D from the confluence with Quail Creek to approximately 50 feet downstream of South
124th Street; the width of the Special Flood Hazard Area (SFHA), the area that would be inundated by
the base flood, increased in some areas and decreased in other areas along Quail Creek and Tributary D.
The modifications are shown on the enclosed annotated copies of FIRM Panel 0010 D; Profile Panels
35P, 36P, 37P, and 38P; and affected portions of the Summary of Discharges Table. This Letter of Map
Revision (LOMR) hereby revises the above-referenced panels ofthe effective FIRM and the affected
portions ofthe FIS report both dated September 30, 1997.

Because this revision request also affects the unincorporated areas of Adams County, a separate LOMR
for that community was issued on the same date as this LOMR. All Boulder County unincorporated
properties in the area affected by this revision have been annexed into the City of Broomfield.
