In a letter dated
September 27,2001, r. ' Rocky Mountain Consultants, requested that FEMA revise
the FIRM and FIS report to show the effects of the Aspen Creek development project along Quail Creek
and Tributary D. This request included revised hydrologic and hydraulic analyses to reflect existing
channel conditions along Quail Creek from approximately 1,600 feet downstream of Sheridan Parkway
to Country Estates Pond, which is located just upstream of South 124th Street, and along Tributary D
from the confluence with Quail Creek to approximately 50 feet downstream of South 124th Street. This
request follows up on a Conditional Letter of Map Revision issued on June 14,2001.

All data required to complete our review ofthis request were submitted with letters from

We have completed our review of the submitted data and the flood data shown on the effective FIRM
and in the effective FIS report. We have revised the FIRM and FIS report to modify the elevations,
floodplain boundary delineations, and zone designations of the flood having a I-percent chance of being
equaled or exceeded in any given year (base flood) along Quail Creek. As a result of the modifications,
Base Flood Elevations (BFEs) were established for Quail Creek from approximately 1,600 feet
downstream to approximately 100 feet downstream of Sheridan Parkway; the width of the Special Flood
Hazard Area (SFHA), the area that would be inundated by the base flood, increased in some areas and
decreased in other areas. The modifications are shown on the enclosed annotated copies of FIRM Panel
08001COOI0 G; Profile Panel 163P; and affected portions of the Summary of Discharges Table. This
Letter of Map Revision (LOMR) hereby revises the above-referenced panels of the effective FIRM and
the affected portions of the FIS report both dated August 16, 1995.

Because this revision request also affects the City of Broomfield, a separate LOMR for that community
was issued on the same date as this LOMR.

The modifications are effective as of the date shown above. The map panels as listed above and as
modified by this letter will be used for all flood insurance policies and renewals issued for your
community.
