All are welcome to <br />attend . <br /> <br />Bylaws <br /> <br />Ratification of Rio Grande Basin Roundtable Bylaws <br />Mel Getz moved to accept <br />nd <br />Doug Shriver 2 <br />Approved with deletion of Article IV - Section 2. ( Re checks and such) <br /> <br />Presentation of Educational Materials -- Ken Lykens , Board Member, Colorado <br />Foundation for Water Education (CFWE) <br /> <br />Ken Lykens was present to present an excellent compilation of educational materials to <br />all RGBRT members. He provided the following background on the CFWE: <br />The Fo undation was formed in 2002 when drought gripped the state. There were 60 to <br />70 legislators who thought they had to write a bill to fix things. Some senio r members <br />decided that the state needed a non - partisan body to educate them and public , and <br />formed the CF WE <br /> <br />In support of the IBCC process, the CFWE is p roviding notebooks for all Roundtable <br />members. A main sponsor for the Rio Grande is the R io Grande Water Conservation <br />District. The binders contain : <br /> <br />? <br /> Summaries of each river basin <br />? <br /> SWSI report <br />? <br /> Water resource report from Trout Unlimited <br />? <br /> Summary of the R io G rande C ompact <br />? <br /> CFWE Resource G uides <br /> <br />Old Business <br />R e: Bylaws and members ’ attendance. Mike Gibson thanked all members who have <br />been attending meeti ngs. He has sent out a letter to members who have not attended <br />and will track and contact those who were not here . <br />He conveyed r egrets from John Shawcroft who was unable to attend today. <br /> <br />Re: <br />? <br /> Powers of the Roundtable — still under discussion with IBCC . <br />? <br /> I nde mnification - Eric’s update - Attorney General’s office is certain that the <br />Colorado Gov ernment Immunity Act provides this body with immunity from <br />law suit s.
