SB 179 creates a u\1lding
program to be administered by Colorado Water Conservation Board (CWCB). Eric
reports that the program will provide $10 million per year for four years to be used in
support of water activities statewide. The legislation requires the IBCC and CWCB to
jointly develop criteria and guidelines for project selection. The CWCB has already
appointed three members to serve on this committee. The IBCC will appoint members
selected from basins that are flowing out of Colorado. Members
were asked to take a little time reviewing what has been done and identify areas that need
additions or refinements.

Eric described how a decision has been made to hire an engineering firm to provide
technical assistance to ALL roundtables in the state in an effort to avoid issues related to
incompatible data in studies. That engineering firm will be available to all roundtables as
deemed necessary.
