June 4, 2007 4. Colorado River Roundtables Meeting The meeting was scheduled for Monday, June 18,2007 at the Montrose Pavilion. The question was raised whether the Gunnison Basin Roundtable needed to prepare a presentation for this meeting. Eric Kuhn stated that the Roundtable should prepare a presentation, and Michelle Pierce then asked the members for a volunteer to make this presentation. There being no volunteers, Michelle agreed to make a short presentation at the meeting. John McClow and Hugh Sanburg offered to help prepare the presentation. 5. Roundtable Voting Member Vacancies Michelle Pierce again welcomed Bob Gobbo who filled the vacant seat for Ute Water Conservancy District as a voting member to the GBRT. Michelle stated that the Fruitland Mesa Water Conservancy District had reiterated that they are no longer functioning and want to be withdrawn from the Roundtable. Discussion followed as to whether the Fruitland Mesa Water Conservancy District's position could be dropped. Hugh Sanburg stated that they had yet to disband, and that the position on the GBRT could not be eliminated without a request from the board of directors of that entity. It was agreed that the subject would be put on the next month's Agenda to consider an amendment to the bylaws to make it possible to remove the position until such a time that the entity would request the position be filled. 6. Additional Items Steve Glazer asked whether the date of the July meeting would need to be changed due to the holiday week. The meeting would not be changed. Steve Glazer requested an addition to the July Agenda to reserve time for Eric Hecox or CDM to make a presentation regarding non-consumptive water use. Next Meeting The next meeting of the Gunnison Basin Roundtable will be July 2,2007.
