<br />June 4, 2007 <br /> <br />Greg Clifton made a motion to approve the Agenda as amended. The motion was seconded by Ron <br />Shaver and the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Approve May 7. 2007 Minutes <br />John McClow pointed out a typographical error on page 4 of the May 7,2007 minutes, where Bill <br />Trampe's name was incorrectly spelled. <br /> <br />Ralph Grover made a motion to approve the minutes. The motion was seconded by Olen Lund, and <br />the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Report from the IBCC Representatives <br />Bill Trampe discussed the May 9, 2007 IBCC meeting which took place in conjunction with Metro <br />Roundtable meeting in Denver. One of the main items discussed at the meeting was the Colorado <br />Basin activities and issues and primarily how money would be used for the water availability study. <br />Rick Brown discussed an overview of the current direction and strategy of the CWCB. <br /> <br />Bill mentioned that Ken Knox, Chief Deputy State Engineer, spoke on how the State Engineer's <br />office would handle a compact call. His office was putting a plan together and would be presenting <br />it to the Roundtables. <br /> <br />Marc Catlin said there was a discussion of Colorado River Call and how the State would like to <br />protect the Colorado entitlement and the future. They want everyone to have the same data. The <br />differences and ramifications of short and long term calls were discussed. The Yampa basin didn't <br />want to become the "make up" river. That Roundtable discussed that the demand side of the call <br />needed to be addressed, and that SWSI did not account for the energy development needs. <br /> <br />Marc also mentioned some discussion regarding what Wyoming, New Mexico, Arizona, Nevada and <br />California were doing and their water needs. He also mentioned Front Range water issues, and that <br />water quality was a big issue for them. He emphasized that the Front Range had large needs, and <br />that the GBRT needed to move forward with its projects. <br /> <br />Report from the Educational Committee <br />Peter Kasper introduced Eric Kuhn of the Colorado River Water Conservation District. Eric <br />presented an overview of his report. He also discussed the upcoming June 18th meeting in Montrose. <br />The report was available in paper copy or PDF, and the CRWCD were also working on getting it on <br />the website. Bill Trampe mentioned the next IBCC meeting in Montrose on June 19th. <br /> <br />Report from the Black Canyon Quantification Committee <br />John McClow stated that there had been no progress in the last month, and that the negotiations were <br />not moving. Hugh Sanburg asked if the US would be ready for the status conference on the 29th, <br />John said they say they are making slow progress. <br /> <br />1.
