Ms. T. Petrone
June 28, 2007
Page 2

individuals engaged in the education and related polley dialogue that occurs at the workshops.
We are encouraged by the Office's continued support and outreach to the roundtables, and are
hopeful that our combined efforts will increase their level of participation.

Preliminary Findings
Based on the breadth and depth of the support provided by local entities and the interest indicated
by the workshop participants, there will be a need for additional Water Conservation Workshops
in the future. In fac~ Cortez has indicated an interest in the introductory workshop (i.e., the full 1
~ day program), and Greeley and Pagosa Springs have indicated an interest in a follow-up
workshop (which would likely consist of a one day affair). In addition, the WaterWise Council
has shown interest in working with the project team to sponsor a two-day water conservation
"summit~ to bring together water conservation professionals from across the state to discuss
challenges and opportunities.

It is clear from the conversations and discussions that have ensued thus far that more discussion
and information gathering is needed regarding the value and use of saved water in all geographies
around the state, and that additional Water Conservations Workshops can be part of the process
to keep these much needed conversations occurring.

Scope Changes
None are expected

As you know, the relationship that we share is of vital importance to our organization. I look
forward to our continued mutually beneficial relationship and hope that you will call me with any
questions or concerns you have regarding this project report, specifically, or the Water
Conservation Workshops, in general. Thank you for aU your support and guidance in GWI's
efforts to serve the Office and the citizens of the State.
