<br />April 4, 2006 9:00am <br /> <br />Meeting notes: <br /> <br />This meeting was requested by John Boyle of Consolidated Mutual Water Company. <br />Meeting included Wally Welton, General Manager, John and Kirk Russell <br /> <br />Company's desire it to free up $3 million dollars to continue with improvements needed <br />to the water treatment plant. <br /> <br />Aquifer Storage Recovery (ASR) proiect - The Company started construction of the ASR <br />in September of2005. This included the installation of6 reversible well pumps to inject <br />treated water into the Lower Arapahoe Aquifer (400 to 600 feet deep). Wells are located <br />around the Company's XXXXXXXXX Reservoir. Ultimate plan is to inject 700 AF for 5 <br />years. This water will provide for drought protection. Courtney Hemingway is the design <br />engineer (consultant for many years for Centennial W & S Dist. on ASR) for the ASR <br />project. Approximately 85% of the capital cost ofthe ASR is related to the extraction of <br />the water. Desire is for each well to inject around 80 to 100 gpm. Company's total <br />delivery is around 3,700 AF/yr. This is expected to increase by 20% or about 100 AF/yr <br />with the development of Rooney Ridge area. <br /> <br />Project cost was $1.8 million for permitting and well installation. <br /> <br />Asphalt Paving aggregate pit (perry Pit) project has been lined with a Hall Irwin slurry <br />wall. Perry Pit will provide storage ofthe Company's unused water leaving the Metro <br />treatment plant. Water is currently leased to the Pulte Homes and Todd Creek Farms <br />(both are Company shareholders). The Perry Pit site has 4 pumps. Site is located near <br />Wattenburg along the So. Platte. Company has been making payments to Asphalt Paving <br />since 2001 to pay off in 2008. <br /> <br />Project cost: <br />$0.85 million slurry wall <br />$2.4 million land cost <br />\Jl <br /> <br />Treatment Plant upgrade is scheduled for this year and is expected to cost $16 million. ~ <br />The 12 mgd plant constructed in 1950's will be enlarged and new treatment process/ <br />installed. Expansion will increase capacity to 15 mgd. Clearwell construction in 2~ and \ <br />membrane delivery in 2007 ($4 million needed for delivery). Organic violation in 2003 \ \ t~ ~ <br />prompted improvements to process. Rooney Ranch development accelerated scheduler (). <br />
