The Town is a member of the
Colorado Intergovernmental Risk Sharing Agency (CIRSA). CIRSA was formed by
intergovernmenta.l agreement by member municipalities which belong to the Colorado Municipal
League. As of December 31, 2005, there were 113 member municipalities in the property and
casualty pool, including the Town of DeBeque, Colorado, each having one vote. Because fihis is not
commercial insurance but rather a risk sharing pool, a large unanticipated loss by one or more of the
members of the pool could result in an unanticipated assessment against the Town and loss of
coverage.
Amounts received or receivable from grantor agencies are subject to audit and adjustment by
grantor agencies. Any disallowed claims, including amounts already collected, may constitute
a liability of the applicable funds. The amount, if any, of expenditures which may be
disallowed by the grantor cannot be determined at this time although the Town expects such
amounts, if any, to be immaterial_
23
 ..
